The Bird Guidance website is one of the most recent projects launched in lieu of the initial works performed through many years. These works include:
- Understanding the nature of as many birds as possible
- Detecting their natural transition
- Saving distressed or injured birds until they regain full health
- Increasing public awareness through bird watches, local campaigns etc.
And so much more that can’t be expressed within the confinement of words. In essence, if there existed any crisis for birds in the local area, the Bird Guidance team has always been the first to respond.
The team members’ have always shared an aspiration for maximum safety of birds paired up with a raw love for the species itself. Thus, all of the decisions made during the tenure sought nothing but a shared vision:
“Fly with us, protect our feathered friends.”
Although the team actively operates in their local area, there have been cases when the courtesy needed to be extended beyond their capacity and they complied with no hesitation.
The team’s founder, Jabed Hasan, is a visionary who believes that it’s a must to share the passion of the members with the world readers so that the work we do leaves behind inspirations for like-minded individuals and arouses interest of ones who still aren’t aware.
It’s evident that strong willpower and determination can build up a team from almost nothing to one of the leading organizations in the region. And of all the success we’ve earned, what could be a better tale to tell than this?
However, we know there’s still a long way to go, a lot more to learn and unfathomable work left to do so that every species of bird can call the earth their home, with just as much right and entitlement as we, human beings do.
On behalf of the Bird Guidance team, we welcome you to join our venture, whether with a loud voice or a silent presence, to witness just as much as to support our cause so that in the end, it can become a conviction for you to thrive for as well.
Our Team
The Bird Guidance team consists of 13 active members who work relentlessly on and off the fields. As of this moment, the website is managed and run by two individuals out of the bird-loving lot.
Jabed Hasan
Founder
Jabed’s childhood holds a strong tie to nature as he roamed around the freedom of nature and fell instantly in love with its beauty. It didn’t take him much longer to realize that the beauty doesn’t reach every animal in the habitat and a lot of them keep falling victim to prey of cruelty.
It was his first childhood pet, a rose-ringed Parakeet, which made him realize the true worth of a bird’s essence and the importance of ensuring their safety within nature. This tune was engraved so deep within his heart that it burns like an endless fire, enabling him to achieve the unthinkables.
And the beautiful thing about this is, the first step he ever took was to release the Parakeet, his friend and companion, to the greeneries of wilderness.
Nafiur Ahmed
Lead Author
Nafiur was appointed as the lead writer for the Bird Guidance website to ensure the growth of the contents connected to their work. He was the ideal choice for the job because of his love for converting real-life stories into words, and most importantly, his affection for the world of birds.
It’s easy to identify where Nafiur found his love for the species as he mentioned himself: “When I was little, my father used to tell me bedtime stories of many different birds, how they acted, the way their chirping indicated danger or change in weather. Somewhere along the path, I realized I’ve fallen in love with this creature.”
His father left behind a huge library of books containing knowledge on birds and reading through them is still among his favorite hobbies.
Hamish Ross
Expert, Researcher and Writer (Zoology, Botany)
The inclusion of Hamish in the team of Bird Guidance is nothing shy of a movie! As a bird researcher, Hamish has to travel across states and even countries at certain stretches. During one such journey, he found himself tangled up with Jabed in an argument over a specific bird’s identification.
It turned out, both of them were wrong because the bird in question was a rare occurrence born in nature. But the best part, the duo became very close friends and realized they share a common ground on bird preservation and knowledge exchange.
Till date, Hamish works as an honorary member of the team where the younger enthusiasts get to learn a great deal from his experience. His writings are also available on the website, solely to spread awareness and authentic information on birds!
